A Chat With Cheryl Boone Isaacs

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences is a global community of more than 7,000 of the most accomplished artists, filmmakers and executives working in film. At the helm is Academy President, Cheryl Boone Isaacs, the third woman and first African American to hold the position. Since taking office in 2013, Boone Isaacs and the Board of Governors have made significant progress towards becoming a more diverse and inclusive organization — this summer admitting their largest class of new members, and in January, taking historic steps to increase inclusion among the Academy's membership, its governing bodies, and its voting roster. Join Toronto International Film Festival Artistic Director Cameron Bailey for an exclusive interview with Boone Isaacs, as she weighs in on the Academy's efforts and her vision for the organization's role as an industry leader
